He was predeceased by: his siblings, George, Marjorie and Ruth; and his grandson Christopher. He is survived by: his parents, Walter R. Prentiss and Myra B. Prentiss (Parsons); his wife Ruth A. Prentiss (Crowley); his children, Diane Lafond (Peter) of North Andover, Paul Prentiss (Susan) of Marlton, NJ, Stephen Prentiss (Robin) of Killington, VT, David Prentiss (Lucy Iannotti) of New Bedford, Joanne Hellested (Leo) of Exeter, RI and Susan Prentiss of Boston; and his grandchildren, Sean, Joseph, Derek, Lucie, Nicholas, Jocelyn, Julia and Anders. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
