He was predeceased by: his sibling Thomas Hennigan. He is survived by: his spouse Claire Hennigan; his children, Kathleen Churchill (Jeffrey) of Ipswich and Deborah St; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Allan and Maire; his great grandchild Zoey; and his siblings, Anna Donovan of Melrose, Mary Connors of Charlestown and William Hennigan of Ipswich. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
