He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Union Color and Chemical Co; his wife Patricia M. Moynahan; his children, Ann H. Causey (Robert) of Ipswich, Lisa A. Herrick of Center Harbor, NH, Peter W. Herrick of Ipswich and Charles W. Herrick II (Jean) of Amesbury; his grandchildren, John H. Pynchon (Elizabeth) of Ipswich, Henry W. Pynchon (Jessica) of Beverly, Allison Bowers (Robert) of Whitesboro, NY and Bradley C. Herrick (Devin) of Newbury; his great grandchildren, John R., Lillian D. Pynchon of Ipswich, Penelope A. Pynchon of Beverly and Robbie C. Bowers of Whitesboro, NY; his brother John A. Herrick (Vilma) of Cape Elizabeth, ME; his former wife Patricia M. Quint; and his sister Jean Powers of Ipswich. He was also cherished by niece and six nephews.
