He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald F. McCarthy and Phyllis L. McCarthy (Raymond); his siblings, Donald F. McCarthy, Jr. and Lorraine Bartniski; his niece Kristen Bartniski Demetrio; and his nephew Patrick McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Helga McCarthy (Hortig); his stepdaughter Kimberly Marie Casey; his siblings, Joyce McCarthy of Ipswich and Dennis McCarthy (Brenda) of Ipswich; his sister-in-law Lorraine McCarthy of Austin, TX.; and his nieces and nephews, Nancy Zenk, Tim McCarthy, Kathy McCarthy, Sean Cronin, Steven Cronin, Jennifer Alywin, Peter Bartniski, Kelly Maio, Danielle McCarthy, Denise McCarthy and Matthew McCarthy. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and their children.
