With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Matias Zapata Cardona of Ipswich, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2024 at the age of 17. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Matias Zapata departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Matias Zapata. Though Matias Zapata may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his parents, Angela Sazin and Henry Zapata; his stepparents, Scott Sazin and Erin Zapata; and his brother Gabriel Zapata. He is also survived by grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
