He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emil Meers and Edna Meers (Bekebrede); his children, John Meers (Jill) of Enfield, CT, Joel Meers (Christine) of Fredericksburg, VA, Julia Meers of Ipswich and Jennifer Meers (Scott Lees) of Freedom, NH; his grandchildren, Andrew (Rachel), Emma, Alyssa, Claire (Christiaan), Tyler, Kathryn and Rebecca; his sister-in-law Mary; his brothers, Jim and Jerry; and his sister-in-law Bonnie. He was also cherished by many nephews; nieces; cousins and friends.
