Hugh K. McNulty Jr. Obituary
Hugh K. McNulty Jr., 83, husband of Andrea J. (Marrone) McNulty of Ipswich, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Hathorne Hill Skilled Nursing Center in Danvers, MA.
He was born in Cranston, Rhode Island on June 30, 1940, son of the late Hugh K. and Jane (Clark) McNulty.
Hugh was a graduate of La Salle Academy High School, Class of 1958. He continued his education at Providence College, Class of 1962. He later received his master's degree in business administration from Clark University.
He was employed with the Visiting Nurses Association of Boston as Chief Financial Officer for many years.
Hugh enjoyed stamp collecting, tending his garden, playing tennis, and deep sea fishing.
The most important thing in life was his family. He was also very proud of his Bronze Star that he received during his time serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Hugh is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 58 years, Andrea J. McNulty; daughter, Carrie Gaul and her husband Luke of Ballston Lake, NY; son, Kenneth McNulty and his wife Yvonne of Wareham MA; 5 grandchildren, Hannah Demane, Emma Demane, Cameron McNulty, Brynna McNulty and Margaret McNulty; 2 sisters, Marguerite O'Brien and Kathleen Hendry.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Harlow and Martha McNulty.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Church, 52 Main Street, Essex, MA on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. The burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
