It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Nikas (Ipswich, Massachusetts), who passed away on September 28, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his nieces, Karen Foustoukos and Elizabeth Markos (Nikas); and his nephew George Nikas. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Nikas (Solomonides); his children, Brenda Nikas-Hayes (John Hayes) of Westborough and Peter E. Nikas (Anne McLister) of Ipswich; his grandchildren, Matthew E. Nikas, Noelle A. Nikas of Ipswich, Ian J. Hayes of Brooklyn, Alexander C. T. Hayes of Worcester and Nicholas DeLoia; his brother James Nikas (Sirmo) of Ipswich; his siblings-in-law, Sophia Nikas of Ipswich and Arthur Solomonides (Catherine); and his wife Betty.
