We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2020, at the age of 61, Donna M. Maurais (Ipswich, Massachusetts), born in Salem, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, April Maurais of Peabody and Joseph Maurais; her sons, Nicholas Maurais (Melissa Jacobson) of North Reading and Derek Maurais (Helena Mae Keefe) of Gloucester; her granddaughter Mia Marquis; and her siblings, Cherlye Sharkey of Lynn, Kim Blanchette-Talbot of Lynn, Brain Thompson of Haverhill, Joseph Maurais Jr., Randall Maurais and Joanne Peters. She was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.

“Dear maurais family, my sincere condolences to all of you. Donna was a caring, loving person who i first met when her two sons, derek and nicholas, were students in my title i pre-kindergarten classroom. Donna was very involved in our parent program and later on she became a day care provider for young children. She gently nurtured the children in her care and she was devoted to and proud of her two sons. She will be remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. Sylvia garber”
