He was predeceased by: his son Detlef. He is survived by: his wife Irmgard Schubring (Ewert); his great grandchildren, D'Andre of Chicopee and Jenyia of Chicopee; his niece Ilona Bernet (John) of Palmer; his nephews, Dennis Pieniak of Monson and Edward Peniak (Gail); and also Jennifer Schubring.
