It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Deacon Leon M. Mireault of Indian Orchard, Massachusetts, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 10, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Leon S. Mireault and Eva L. Mireault SanSoucie (Balthazard); his stepfather Emile SanSoucie; his sister Leona White (Ernest); and his siblings-in-law, Donald Fontaine and Germaine Robbins.
He is survived by : his wife Marie-Jeanne Mireault (Fontaine); his children, David A. Mireault (Holly) of Auburn, ME, Philip L. Mireault (Judy) of Keene, NH and Denise M. Hannigan (Joseph) of Somers, CT; his grandchildren, Sarah M. Hannigan of Boston, Christopher J. Hannigan of Boston and Alyson M. Mireault of Keene, NH; his stepgrandchildren, Kady and Nick Alexander; his siblings-in-law, Louis-Paul Fontaine (Theresa) of Wilbraham, Eugene Fontaine (Joan) of Feeding Hills, Norman Robbins of Rock Hill, SC and Maureen Fontaine of Ludlow; and his brother Deacons. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends.
Please note that masks are required at the funeral home, church and cemetery, social distancing must be observed, church capacity is limited due to state regulations and cemetery requirements are 25 people.
His family has requested that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Perkins School for the Blind Library Division, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
