He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Gomes and Virginia Gomes (Lucia). He is survived by: his wife Cremilde Gomes (Alves); his children, Abel Gomes, Jr. (Roxanne) of New Salem, Carlos Gomes (Angela) of Wilbraham and Maria Gomes of Indian Orchard; his sisters, Adelina and Janet; his grandchildren, Matthew, Danny, Christopher, Melanie, Anthony, Kyle and Katrena; and his nephew Luis Eugenio Gomes. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
