He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John McDonnell and Margaret McDonnell of Hyde Park, MA.; his wife Kathleen Moore (Petty); his sons, Daniel and John (Shelby) of Easton, MA; his grandchildren, Nikki and Ryan (Alicia) of Taunton, MA; his great grandchild Riley Emory McDonnell; his siblings, Peggy Malley, John and Edward of Idaho; and his sisters-in-law, Maureen Moore Drummy of Quincy, MA. and Marjorie Scott of Quincy, MA.. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 in memory of Bill McDonnell.
