He was loved and cherished by many people including his parents: the late George E. Smith, Jr., Eileen (Shorey) Smith and Glenn R. Shorey, Sr.; his former wife Donna (Peterson), his child Suzanna Chase (Michael) of Oregon; his siblings, Gene Richard Shorey (Lucy) of Hyde Park, Allysn Bannen (Joseph) of Hyde Park, Merrilyn Stewart (Donald) of Arizona, Lisa Childers (Mark) of North Carolina, Steven Smith (Rose) of Canton, Dana Smith (Cindy) of Washington, Joyce Williams (late Michael) of Norwell, the late Glenn "Tiny" Shorey, Jr. and Mary Smith; He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
