He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anthony Richard DeBerardinis and Ida DeBerardinis (Langione); his son Golden; his wife Shirley Ann DeBerardinis (Panaioli); his children, Kenneth J. Jr., Joseph, Stephen, Laura and Dawn DeBerardinis; and his siblings, Anthony R. Jr. and Mary Collins. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren.
