He was predeceased by: his son Edward Kitfield. He is survived by: his wife Norma Kitfield (Lipman); his children, Susan Slark (Sid) of Manchester, NH and Robert Kitfield of Hyde Park; his grandsons, Christopher Slark and Jeffrey Slark; and his sister-in-law Marsha Mohan (Barry) of Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
