Marc DeLorenzo wrote a sympathy message

“My condolences to the Peckham family. I remember Dick as the Electrician who did all of the electrical work at the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge in Hyannis in 1964. He was a great guy who, although very busy, would take a couple of minutes to explain electrical wiring to a 14 year old kid (myself). The Motor Lodge was built and owned by my mother's boss, Leonard Slaybard. I was also a classmate of Dick's son, Stephen. We lived in the same Hyannis neighborhood. RIP.”
