He is survived by: his parents, John Monteiro and Helena Peterson (Edwards); his wife Karen Monteiro; his children, April Baptiste of Ohio, Jerrica Rose (Wesley) of South Yarmouth, Troy Monteiro of Providence, RI and Michael Z. Monteiro of Lake Elsinore, CA; his brothers, Paul and Brian Monteiro; and his grandchildren, Ailani, Nalia, Troy Jr. and Zayla. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
