He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hurwitch and Barbara Hurwitch (Colpak). He is survived by: his wife Mary Blue Magruder of Cambridge; his son Edward Hurwitch of Charlestown; his grandchildren, Leland, Zachary Curtsinger, Samantha, Christopher Jorgenson, Meredith, Aliza, Gretchen Hurwitch, Chase and Camden Hurwitch; and his brothers, Peter Hurwitch (Anne) of South Natick and William Hurwitch (Barbara) of Acton.
