He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Florence McCarthy (Sullivan) and John Paul McCarthy; his siblings, Paul McCarthy (Deborah) of Hull, Ellen Tierney (Michael) of Scituate, Stephen McCarthy of Hull and Brian McCarthy of Hull; and his nieces and nephews, Patrick McCarthy, Kelly Rose Troia, Shannon Resnick, Brendan McCarthy, Meaghan Simildoro, Elizabeth Tufts, Michael Tierney, Hayley McCarthy and Daniel McCarthy. He was also cherished by 13 grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers gifts in memory of John Paul "Jackie" McCarthy may be made to support Dr. Isabel Arrillaga's Gliobastoma Research at Mass General Cancer Center.
