He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Virginia M. (Cleary); his children, Donald Wightman Jr. (Ret Sergeant), Cynthia Gately (David) of Hull, Loraine Evans (Gary) of Bolivia, NC, Rhonda Sharrow (Kenneth) of Walpole and Thomas Wightman of Hull; his grandchildren, Donald Wightman, William Scanlon Jr., Robert Miles III, Lindsey Buchholz, David Gately Jr., James Gately, Elise Gately and Victoria "Torri" Wightman; his great grandchildren, Will, Claire, Harrison, Evelyn, Madeline and Daniel; his parents, James E. and Margaret J (Hammond); his brothers, Bill, Bud and Bob; and his daughter-in-law Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made in Don's name to Old Colony Hospice 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
