He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Holmes and Margaret Holmes (Hickey); his sister Margaret Mechan (Kenneth); and his son-in-law John Deane. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Holmes (Zenick); his daughters, Margaret "Meg" Deane of Hudson, Ruth Ann Kennedy (Kyle) and Carol Holmes Burgess of Hudson; and his grandchildren, Thomas O'Loughlin, Victoria Kennedy, Zachary Burgess, Meghan O'Loughlin and Colleen Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in memory of Thomas C. Holmes to the Hudson Senior Center, 29 Church St., Hudson, MA 01749.
