He was predeceased by: his parents, William McCarthy Sr. and Mildred Crue (Mauro); and his brother David A. McCarthy (Tracey Grierson). He is survived by: his sons, Jeremiah Fearing of Paisley, Shawn McCarthy and Brandon Grierson of Maynard, MA; his stepfather James Crue of Hudson; and his siblings, William McCarthy Jr. of Hudson, Nanette Russello (Jason Crue) of Greenfield and Caryn Happy of Sterling.
