She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Byron and Katie Byron (Cronin); her sisters, Clare Byron, Barbara McPartlen and Jean Morin; and her friends, Jean Renney Bowen, Gracia LaVallee Hellander and Betty Bateman Egizi.

She is survived by: her husband Dick Gardner; her children, Mary Kate Gardner (Russell Puschak), Timothy Gardner of Worcester, MA, Matthew Gardner (Robin Sugar Gardner), Anthony Gardner (Lisa Bazarian Gardner) and Sarah Gardner (David Merrill); her grandchildren, Maggie Callahan, Jerry Callahan, Emily Gardner, Brody Gardner, Sira Gardner, Theo Gardner-Puschak and Finn Gardner-Puschak; her brother Jack; her sister-in-law Elaine Gardner; her nieces and nephews, Plummer and Mary Ann Crowder (McPartlen); her friend Terry DesRochers Jacobs; her sister Norma Plummer; and her children, Bob and Glenora Gardner. She is also survived by 6 great nephews and great nieces.
