He was predeceased by: his parents, Katharine Ellam (Durkin) and Joseph H. Ellam; and his brother Joseph J. Ellam. He is survived by: his wife Susan Stevens of Hopkinton; his daughter Sarah Stevens Ellam (Leigh Walker) of Hopkinton; his grandchildren, Rhys Ellam Walker and Tessa Ellam Walker; his sons, Matthew Stevens Ellam (Deanna Meeske) of Boston and Timothy Stevens Ellam (Shannon) of Everett; and his sisters, Mary Ellam Lane, Katharine Ellam and Elizabeth Ellam. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Burial will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Hopkinton. *Due to current restrictions, face masks must be worn and social distancing must be adhered to.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Farber or Vietnam Veterans of America, vva.org.
