He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Volpe and Mona Volpe (Rockwood); his child Richrd L. Volpe Jr.; and his siblings, Louis Volpe, James Volpe and Anne Sturrick.

He is survived by: his spouse Mary J. Volpe (Tetlow); and his children, Mary Jo Volpe of Hopedale, Theresa Greene of Coventry and Ernest Volpe of Hopedale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale, MA 01747.
