He is survived by: his wife Elba Colon Vega; his children, Adelina Maldonado, Praxedes "Papo" Colón, Mariá Lee Vega, Raul Francisco Vega and Felix Raul Vega; his grandchildren, Bryan O. Borges-Vega, Ericalynn Carabello, Christian Maldonado, Kenneth O. Borges-Vega, Isabella Colón, Raul N. Vega, Eli Vega, Amiyah Vega, Madelina Vega, Alexander Colón, Carter James Vega and Felix Raul Vega, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Ezra Caraballo and Lylah Caraballo. He is also survived by many siblings and nieces and nephews.
