Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Michael leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Casimir Pijar and Eileen Pijar (Galvin); and his wife Joanne Pijar (LaBrie). He is survived by: his daughters, Maureen Garcia (Lazarus) and Bethann Rogers (Justin); his granddaughter Emily; and his siblings, Jack Pijar (Mary) and Cathreine Mayo (Russell). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home (2049 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). A procession was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (1945 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). The military honors was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ma Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
