We are sad to announce that on January 25, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Marie I. (Plasse) Joly of Holyoke, Massachusetts, born in Wales, Massachusetts. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hector Plasse and Irene Plasse (Racicot); her husband Armand J. Joly, Jr.; and her siblings, Reverend Eugene J. Plasse and Elaine A. Plasse.
She is survived by: her children, Armand J. Joly III, Theresa L. "Terry" Benoit of Holyoke and Ann M. Knight (Richard "Rick" Knight) of Chicopee; her grandchildren, John Joly, Alexander Joly (Ashley), Richard "Ricky" Knight III, Kurtis Knight and Kayla Drinkwine (Jesse); her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Kayden Knight, Katarina Knight, Aubrey and Charlotte Drinkwine; her brother Ronald J. Plasse (Lou Ann); and her sisters-in-law, Joan Joly of Chicopee and Marylou Joly of South Hadley. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home Parking Lot and Main Entrance Are (20 Lafayette St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sainte Rose de Lima Church (594 Grattan St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A committal service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001).
Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Veterans' Home of Holyoke, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
