He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Hooben and Julia Hooben; his brother William; and his nephew Peter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Robidoux Hooben (Freitag); his children, Michael and Ann Marie; his stepchildren, Thomas, James, Susan and Cynthia; his sister-in-law Gertrude; and his nephews, William and Eric. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
