He was predeceased by: his daughter Deborah Ann Norton (Bertram); and his granddaughter Krista Bertram Norton. He is survived by: his wife Christel; his daughters, Karen Shell (Bertram) of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Heidi Bertram of Hopkinton, MA; his sons-in-law, Steve Shell and Tim Norton; his grandsons, Trevor Shell, Craig Norton and Christian Norton; his brother-in-law Peter Renk (Diana); and his nieces, Stephanie Freeman and Michelle McGarvey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church; 600 Central Street; Holliston, MA 01746 in honor of Frederic C. Bertram.
