With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley M. Dowd (Holden, Massachusetts), born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 12, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Murphy and Lena Murphy (Duclos); her husband Dr. Richard J. Dowd; her daughter Deborah Stencel; and her siblings, Jack Murphy, Joseph Murphy and Jean Murphy.
She is survived by: her sons, Andrew Dowd of Paxton, Richard Dowd (Cheryl) of North Attleboro, Kevin Dowd (Paula) of Paxton, Stephen Dowd of Spencer and Dr. Dennis Dowd (Valerie Schiller) of Paxton; her siblings, James Murphy, William Murphy, Mary Lou Shagro and Jane Pelkey; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Sean, James, Jesse, Kate, Sarah, Christine, Caitlyn, Libby, Lauren, Grace and Meagan; and her great grandchildren, Retta, Jack, Owen, Margo, Edmond and Nina.
