It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Chase Davenport (Holden, Massachusetts), who passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen R. Davenport and Mariana B. Davenport (Bonnell); and his brother Henry Davenport. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Shirley Davenport (Mattocks); his children, Dwight Davenport of Princeton and Heather Davenport (Anne Davenport) of Swanzey, NH; his brothers, Stephen Davenport (Joanna) of Oakland, CA and John Davenport (Sally) of Hingham; his grandsons, Samuel Chase Davenport II and Keith Francis Davenport; and his sister-in-law Cecily Marshall of Worcester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
