He was predeceased by: his grandson Julien Boucher; his brother Paul Lavin; and his parents, William Lavin and Dora Lavin (Stevens). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Lavin (Fortunato); his daughters, Nicole M. Tomanek (Richard) of Hudson, Elyse A. Lavin of Las Vegas and Kelly M. Boucher (Lukas) of Boylston; his sisters, Kathryn Szolusha (Mark) of Florida and Patricia Messina of Auburn; and his grandchildren, Cole, Kyle Tomanek, Chandler Barnes, Joseph and Lucy Boucher. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel (370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 9:40 AM at the Departing the Funeral Home. A Mass was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Loreto Church (33 Massasoit Rd, Worcester, MA 01604).
