He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Carlson and Josephine Carlson (Donahue); his wife Benilda R. Carlson (Crespo); his grandson Joseph R. Nozzolillo; his son-in-law Joseph A. Nozzolillo; and his siblings, Thomas Frederick, Jr., William, Mary, Paul and Pauline Carlson.
He is survived by: his close friend Viola R. Norris (Foley); his children, Kenneth J. Carlson of Worcester and Celeste I. Nozzolillo (John J. Richinick) of Holden; his great grandchild Madison D. McCormick of Rutland; his close friend Sam Richesson of Worcester; and also, Jonathan J. Nozzolillo of West Boylston, Leah M. McCormick (Christopher), Alexandra "Sandy" Norris, Viola Bernard, Cheryl Canty, Jeremy Picard, Rebecca MacDonnell, Mary Anderson, Pat and Phil Shannon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
