Lane Jr. (Holden, Massachusetts), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold M. Lane and Marie L. Lane (Lionett); his significant other Dorothy "Dottie" E. Mayo; his children, Roy (Laurie Lane), Catherine Nicastro of Ashburnham, Christine (Mark Adams), Gary (Theresa Lane), James (Diane Lane), Jeffrey (Sheila Lane), Cheryl (Kirk Preston) and Cynthia (Stephen Kitchen); his siblings, William, Frances Lane of Cape Cod, Charles, Jean Lane of Gardner, Ruth, Doug Briggs of Rutland and Robert of Medford, NJ; and his grandfather Harry J. Lionett. He was also cherished by his thirty-one grandchildren has cherished memories of "Papa".

Appropriate face coverings must be worn, and social distancing must be honored. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, a celebration of his life will be held privately on Friday, August 28th with the Reverend Robin Bartlett of the First Church in Sterling officiating.
