Dorothy (Hershkowitz) Swartz Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy (Hershkowitz) Swartz (Holden, Massachusetts), who passed away on April 21, 2020 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mollie Hershkowitz (Wachtel) and Harry Hershkowitz; her children, Morris Swartz (Karen Desser) of Stevenson, MD, Rhoda Needleman (Ralph) and Daniel Swartz (Rebecca Brownstein) of Holden; her grandchildren, Edward Rabb (Lauren Rabb) of Holden, Jay Needleman (Johanna Vostok) of Framingham, Michael Needleman of Marlborough, Kayla Robinson (Christopher Robinson) of Rutland, Aaron Swartz of Los Angeles, CA, Talia Swartz of Boston, Evan Swartz of Portland, ME, Ethan Swartz of Stevenson, MD and Samantha Swartz of Holden; her husband Edward Swartz; and her brother Bernard Hershkowitz. She was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.

Due to the current global pandemic, there will be a private funeral service and burial under the direction of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.

Memorial donations may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester or Boston Children's Hospital.
