He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Ljungberg (Plumley); his brother Scott Ljungberg; his son David E. Ljungberg Jr.; his son-in-law Scott L. Mackay; his grandchildren, Tristan David Ljungberg and Kerri Ann Ljungberg; and his parents, Dr. David G. Ljungberg and Florice Ljungberg (Farnum).
He is survived by: his children, Arline Mackay of Rutland, MA, Ladd Ljungberg of Westport, CT, Jon Ljungberg of Winnipeg and Nils Ljungberg (Karen) of Charlton, MA; his grandchildren, Kelly, Brooks (Kali), Brandon (Kaitlin), Brittney, Ryan, Christopher, Davey (Brittany), Michael, Bobby and Lindsey; his great grandchildren, Alex, Aidan, Ellie, Scotty, Piper, Louie, Ollie, Brody and Leah; and his brother-in-law Paul Arruda.
