He is survived by: his wife Clare Nelson (Christmas); his children, Margaret Nelson of Holden and Timothy Nelson (Pamela); his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Joshua of Franklin; his son Patrick Nelson (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Delaney and Pearl of Nashua, NH; his sister Patricia Moran (Nelson) of Summerville, SC.; and his nieces and nephews, Robert, Bonnie Moran of Holden, William, Margie Moran, Ronald Desautels, Rachel, Michael Tinervin, Douglas and Susan Madden.
