He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Campanella and Sadie Campanella (Olbrys); his siblings, Barbara Graham (Lester), Alfred (Elizabeth), Lawrence (Annie Lou) and Michael; and his uncle Frank Olbrys (Mary).

He is survived by: his sons, John (Ruth), Joseph, Thomas and Michael (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Kevin, Gina Schoch (Henry), Michael (Elizabeth), Thomas, Matthew, Sophia, Luke and Sam; his great grandchildren, Jason, Allison, Camilla, Emma, Leila, Louis and Marcus; his wife Loretta Campanella (Cibotti); his siblings, Joseph, Cynthia Dunne (Normand) and Paula Crouse (Bill); his aunt Lilian Peluso; and his brother-in-law Louis Cibotti. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces/nephews.
