He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, S. Maxwell Sr. and Eleanor (Perry); his wife Mary Beal; his sons, Francis J. Johnson and Richard P. Beal; his daughter-in-law Erica Beal; and his siblings, Nancy Beal Allen, Cyndy Beal Hurley (Bob) and David Beal (Emily). He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with countless (grand) nieces and nephews.
