He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Mulvaney and S. Donald Mulvaney of Florence, MA.. He is survived by: his children, Allison Mulvaney of Hingham, MA and Scott Mulvaney (Michelle) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his grandchildren, Simon, Calvin, Ace and Maple; and his siblings, Susan Mulvaney of Providence, RI and Patrick Mulvaney (Dawn) of Sunderland, MA. He is also survived by his three nephews.
His many publications and contributions to the field will live on.
