He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Garland and Phyllis Garland; and his brother Jeffrey. He is survived by: his wife Helga Garland (Joosten); his sons, Brett (Tress Goodwin) of Washington, DC, Keith (Breanne) of Hingham and Tom (Meghan) of Norwell, MA; his grandchildren, Gabriela, Samuel, Christopher, Madeline, Clayton and Sloane; and his sister Claudia Garland of Henderson, NV.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel (21 Pond St, Hingham, MA 02043). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hingham Congregational Church (378 Main St, Hingham, MA 02043).
