With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Couillard of Hingham, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 4, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald C. Couillard; and her parents, Henry C. Gustafson and Elsie Gustafson (Willard). She is survived by: her children, Stephen Couillard of Hingham and Julie Paulsen (Kevin) of Hingham; and her sister-in-law Anna Couillard of Salem. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in Ruth's memory can be made to the Foster Parrots Ltd.

“So sorry to hear Ruth has departed this world. She was a mentor to me. During the five years I worked under her leadership I learned so much and, thanks to her encouragement, went on to obtain my masters degree which opened many doors to me. She was one of the most intelligent, perceptive and generous people I have ever known. I am so sorry to learn of her death too late to pay my respects.”
