He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert John, Sr. and Mary Virgina McCourt; and his brothers, Paul and Peter. He is survived by: his wife Debra Jordan McCourt; his children, Melissa (Patrick Maguire), Michelle (Gary McGovern), Allison (Kyle Capaldo) and Jack (Monica McCourt); his grandchildren, Sean, James Maguire, Julia, Madison McGovern, Trevor and Kenzie Capaldo; and his brothers, Gerard (Mary) of Milton, Gregory of Chestnut Hill, Christopher of Englewood, FL and Brian (Jennifer). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home (21 Emerald St, Hingham, MA 02043). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (1059 Main St, Hingham, MA 02043).
