With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Heapes of Hingham, Massachusetts, born in Cohasset, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 22, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Petersen and Alice Petersen; her siblings, Ralph Petersen and Joanne McCarron; her son-in-law Michael Conneely (Mickey); and her nephew Pete.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Conneely of Weymouth, John Heapes (Sue) of Weymouth, Ted Heapes (Julie) of Hanson and Joanne Fortier (Larry) of Bow; her grandchildren, Jason Flannery-Heapes (Laurisa), Jessica Heapes (Jamin Steigerwald), Michael, Alice Conneely, Hunter and Riley Fortier; her great grandchildren, Hunter and Behr; and her nieces and nephews, Rick, Pat, McCarron, Maryalice, Paul, Kath and Beth.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Unbound.org, educating children living in poverty, an organization Joyce sponsored for many years.
