He is survived by: his children, John W. Jack Kapples (Lucy) of Wellesley and Joseph W. Kapples (Peggy) of Franklin; and his grandchildren, Eileen, Catherine, Lucy, John, Henry Kapples of Wellesley, Patrick, Liam and Sean Kapples of Franklin.
