Sanderson III; his wife Elaine of Melrose; his siblings, Marianne Shay of Sandwich and Ruth Kingsbury of Maine; his grandchildren, Grace Sanderson, Patrick, Joseph, Shannon McLaughlin, Nicole Sanderson, Andrew Gonthier and Marina Gonthier; and also, David F. Sanderson (Pamela) of Rockland, Joan Sanderson-Gonthier (Gary) of Michigan, Leeanne McLaughlin (Michael) of Chelmsford and Beth Olsen (Steve) of Mansfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
