It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Hughes of Hingham, Massachusetts, who passed away at the age of 83, on December 24, 2024. He was predeceased by: his sister Elizabeth Lydon of Harwich; and his parents, Stanley and Mary. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Hughes (Kip); his children, Christine Elio (Carmen) of Hingham, Carolyn Hughes of Boston and John Hughes, Jr. (JJ) of Conifer, CO.; his siblings, Maryanne Rizzo of Walpole, Robert of Venice, FL., Helene Monaghan of Hingham and Paul Hughes of Charlestown; and his grandchildren, Patrick Elio, Matthew Elio, Nina Elio, John Hughes III and Joshua Hughes.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Freedom Hall (976 Main St, Cotuit, MA 02635).
