She was predeceased by: her parents, Mognes Høirup and Karen Høirup. She is survived by: her brother Christian Høirup of Aalborg, Denmark.; her significant other Howard Kulin, MD; her sons, Ian Thomas Kulin, Kim Eric Kulin and Jacob Morten Kulin; and her grandchildren, Emma, Tyler, Asher and Mia Kulin.
